This project initially found its start as my final year group project at University, the deliverable being a real time environment within UE4 that would have interactable areas and VR Integration. However the project was impacted by the initial outbreak of Covid-19 which changed the submission criteria weeks into production and axed the VR integration
My Primary areas of responsibility were Lighting and VR. The final submissions quality definitely fell victim to the rapid change in circumstances and the balancing of other modules that had also been effected certainly did not help either.
However during the time off after finishing University I decided to take this project and improve it as well as I could, taking advantage of new developments such as porting the scene to Unreal Engine 5, fixing up any issues that popped up and using the new Lumen lighting system, creating both a Day and Night scene with unique lighting setups all in Real-time.
Special thanks to my initial team members - Eilidh MacInnes, Laura McGarvey and Scott Rafferty
